Honeywell Launches Fire-Lite Detection

♦ Honeywell launches Fire-Lite detection, a suite of modern conventional and addressable fire protection systems for small to medium-sized buildings, in Australia.

The launch comes as Australia’s construction industry is expected to re-emerge strongly and expand by more than 2 per cent annually between 2023-26. This growth, coinciding with the completion of some of Australia’s most extensive construction projects, will spur demand for modern fire systems as businesses look to use technology to simplify fire and life safety management.

“Small- to medium-sized buildings are increasingly adopting technology and features previously used in high-end applications but tailored for their unique needs,” said Steve Higgins, Pacific general manager, Honeywell Fire and Security. “Fire-Lite is a globally recognized brand, well suited for this segment.”

Key benefits and features include customisable and intelligent addressable fire panels that meet any building requirements, as well as the needs of installers and end users with proven, reliable and efficient fire alarm control panels that allow installers to provide flexible solutions to support a variety of installations.

There’s a comprehensive range of devices, including photoelectric smoke, fixed heat, rate of rise heat, high sensitivity and advanced multi-criteria detectors, manual call points, intelligent modules and speciality detection. AV notification provides audio-visual (AV) fire notification featuring audio and visual alarm devices, speakers and Grade-3 emergency warning system.

Specialty detection and ancillaries includes flame detectors, optical beams and standalone power supplies, all with backup components and the system integrates with the Honeywell Connected Life Safety Services (CLSS) platform that enables systems integrators and facilities managers to deliver an enhanced fire safety service. Fire-Lite meets relevant fire product standards including Australian AS 1670.1, AS 1670.4 and NCC.
