ICT updates Protege GX Web App And Access+ With Unified Desktop And Mobile Capability.
ICT updates Protege GX Web App – ICT has released updates to its Protege GX platform, delivering feature parity between its GX Web App and legacy Web Client, as well as expanded capability in its Access+ mobile application.
The changes address a long-standing issue in access control deployments, where operators and administrators have typically relied on separate tools depending on device and location.
According to ICT, with this release, the GX Web App becomes the primary interface for system management. This removes the need for parallel client environments and allows integrators to transition customers without loss of functionality or retraining for core tasks.
The GX Web App introduces additional operational and security features, including 2-factor authentication for system access, improved filtering and sorting of events with saved views, and embedded help documentation within the interface. These changes are aimed at reducing operator workload and support overhead in day-to-day system use.
An extended event service has also been introduced, improving event delivery reliability in larger or compliance-driven deployments where event integrity is critical.
Importantly for existing sites, the Web App is covered under the current Protege GX Web Client licence, removing the need for additional licensing or upgrade justification.
ICT has also updated its Access+ mobile application to support both Protege GX and WX systems within a single interface.
Previously, sites running mixed GX and WX environments required separate applications and workflows. With this release, Access+ consolidates management into a single application with one login, simplifying day-to-day operations for users managing multiple systems.
The update also includes interface changes driven by user feedback, particularly for single-site users and operators without card credentials, with simplified navigation and more direct access to core functions.
Additional updates include a troubleshooting interface within user profiles, in-app release notes on login, dark mode support across iOS and Android, and general reliability and security improvements.
Access+ is now positioned as the replacement for Protege Mobile and is available through both major app platforms.
