ICT’s Protege WX all-in-one intrusion, access control and automation solution has arrived at SEN for testing.

Before embarking on our explorations, we got a run through of the system from James Robinson, ICT’s sales director, Asia Pacific, who pointed out this PC-free, wizard-driven system means that for systems between 1-50 doors, all installers need do is unpack the box, connect controller and power supply, and launch a web browser.

“ICT WX gives 10,000 users, 50,000 events, 512 inputs, 512 outputs, 8 elevator cards and 32 floors per car. It's fully scalable and has the power of app-based management,” Robinson said.

Watching Robinson go through the setup process, which included logging on users and driving the system via the app, it was immediately clear that this is a capable and highly evolved solution.

According to Robinson, ICT is continuing to make serious inroads in the Australian market. Keep an eye out for our full review of ICT WX in the October issue! ♦

* Apologies, readers. We got some of the specs of the WX backwards in an earlier version. Note that the WX system offers 10,000 users, 50,000 events, 512 inputs, 512 outputs, 8 elevator cards and 32 floors per car!
