IDEMIA Tops NIST FRVT1 Face Recognition – IDEMIA reports its 1:N algorithm has achieving the best accuracy in the latest Face Recognition Vendor Test (FRVT) from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
IDEMIA 1:N ranked first among 114 tested systems in NIST’s latest FRVT1, which test facial recognition performance in one-to-many (1:N) scenarios, comparing 1 face image against a large database of face images to return one or more matching images. IDEMIA achieved the best accuracy score of 99.88 per cent correct matches out of 12 million face images.
According to IDEMIA, its facial recognition solutions work with or without a mask and are designed to offer the best trade-off between speed and accuracy, demographic parity, while also processing face profile images.
