In Line Electronics Expand Dandenong CCTV For Manufacturing And Distribution Facility.

In Line Electronics Expand Dandenong CCTV – In Line Electronics has completed a major CCTV upgrade at a manufacturing and distribution facility in Melbourne’s south-east.

The scope of works includes the replacement of ageing surveillance infrastructure, as well as the expansion of camera coverage to improve operational visibility across the site.

The project was undertaken for a leading Australian building products manufacturer at its Dandenong facility, where continued growth had outpaced the capability of the existing surveillance system.

The upgrade involved replacing older cameras and installing more than 25 new cameras, expanding the system to more than 60 cameras covering production areas, storage zones and vehicle movements across the site.

According to In Line Electronics, the client’s operational requirements had evolved significantly since the original system was installed.

“Older cameras no longer provided sufficient coverage across key operational areas, while increasing activity involving production processes, storage operations and mobile plant demanded improved visibility and recording capability,” says In Line Electronics’ operations manager, Dylan Barrat.

The client also required dedicated surveillance workstations to provide operational staff with live oversight of critical areas and support incident review.

To meet these requirements, In Line Electronics designed and commissioned a commercial IP CCTV solution tailored to the facility’s operational needs.

“In addition to replacing unsuitable cameras and extending surveillance coverage, the installation included dedicated monitoring workstations with monitor mounting systems to provide authorised personnel with live views of production activity, storage areas and vehicle movements,” Barrat explains.

“The supporting recording and network infrastructure was also upgraded to accommodate the larger system. New network video recorders, expanded recording storage through additional hard drives and commercial-grade network switches now provide the bandwidth and capacity required for the expanded deployment while supporting future growth.”

According to Barrat, the completed installation provides comprehensive surveillance across the facility’s production, warehousing and traffic management areas, while giving operational staff improved situational awareness through strategically located monitoring stations.

“Beyond security, the system supports day-to-day operations by allowing personnel to monitor manufacturing processes, review incidents more quickly and maintain visibility of vehicle and plant movements across the site,” Barrat explains.

“Management also benefits from a scalable surveillance platform with increased recording capacity and improved risk management capability as the business continues to expand.”
