In Line Electronics Upgrades Industrial Site With Integriti Alarms And Access Control.
In Line Electronics Upgrades Industrial Site With Integriti – In Line Electronics has completed an electronic security upgrade at a Melbourne manufacturing facility, replacing an ageing alarm system and introducing integrated access control across the site.
The project centred on migration of more than 120 existing alarm zones while maintaining full operational continuity with Inner Range Integriti installed as the management platform with SIFER readers handling access-controlled entry points.
According to the In Line Electronics team, the existing alarm system had reached the end of its serviceable life and offered no integration with access control, limiting the facility’s ability to manage user permissions, monitor movement and maintain situational awareness.
In Line Electronics designed a staged upgrade that allowed the legacy system to remain active while new infrastructure was progressively installed, tested and commissioned. This approach enabled both systems to operate in parallel during migration, ensuring alarm protection and door control were maintained.
Access control was introduced across external entrances, internal doors and restricted operational areas using electronic locking hardware including electric strikes and modified door furniture. Communications rooms and other sensitive areas were secured under controlled access, with permissions and schedules managed centrally.

The Inner Range Integriti platform provides unified management of alarm and access control functions, allowing operators to manage users, credentials, access levels and event reporting through a single interface.
Integriti supports scalable system architecture, role-based access control and integration of multiple site subsystems within a single environment, giving plenty of flexibility should the system need to expand.
SIFER readers, which are designed to support encrypted credential technologies including DESFire EV1/EV2, were deployed at access points, providing a higher level of credential security compared to legacy proximity-based systems.
A key requirement of the project was maintaining uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The staged migration was delivered system by system, with no requirement for site shutdowns and no loss of alarm coverage across the transition.
For a period during the upgrade, both systems operated concurrently, allowing validation of new infrastructure while retaining the existing alarm environment as a fallback.
