Inner Range Releases Inception V7.3 With Support For New Wireless And IR Video Management.
Inner Range Releases Inception V7.3 – Inner Range has released Inception V7.3, adding platform support for upcoming IR Wireless products along with improvements to testing and commissioning, IR Video management, firmware updates and system performance.
A key element of Inception V7.3 is preparation for Inner Range’s new IR Wireless RF Gateway and Remote Controls, which are scheduled for release before the end of Q3 2026.
Once the new wireless products are available, administrators will be able to configure remote templates, assign actions to programmable buttons and enrol remote controls directly to individual users.
This will allow wireless remotes to be used for functions including arming and disarming areas, triggering automation functions and managing site operations without requiring wired infrastructure to the remote device.
Inception V7.3 also introduces changes intended to simplify installation, testing and commissioning. Area Test Walk and Hardware Test functions have been streamlined to improve accessibility and reduce permission-related barriers during commissioning.
Firmware management has also been updated, with improved progress feedback during firmware updates and protected execution of critical operations including mobile credential management.

For sites using IR Video, V7.3 provides additional video device management functionality, including the ability to remove video devices directly through the gateway interface. Inner Range has also made changes to event handling, camera health management and integration reliability.
Broader platform improvements cover network resilience, credential management, system warnings, review events, reporting, language localisation, touchscreen operation, mobile access terminology, firmware management and access control functionality.
Inception, available through Wesco in ANZ, is Inner Range’s unified access control, intrusion detection and automation platform and is designed for applications including commercial facilities, education, government, critical infrastructure and enterprise sites.
