Jack Fuse Showing New Product AT SAGE 2024 – Jack Fuse will be showing a new product at Security & Government Expo, Realm Hotel Canberra, Thursday November 21 pre-register here.

According to Jack Fuse’s Ken McKeon, the Jack Fuse Electronic Break Glass (EBG) represents a significant advancement in security technology, offering remote and automatic reset capabilities.

“For the first time, the need to attend and perform a manual break glass reset has been eliminated, along with associated costs,” McKeon said.

“The new reset modes, combined with audible and visual feedback, substantially enhance security by reducing the time doors are left unlocked unnecessarily, as well as discouraging nuisance activations.

“Automatic reset takes away the hassle of manually resetting an activated break glass – instead the electronic break glass performs a reset on its own when a card is used, when an exit button is pushed or even on change of access schedule.

Automatic reset is great for remote sites, large campuses and buildings without local managers,” McKeon explained.

“It allows more control over when the EBG is reset and is suited to high security applications and managed facilities. Reset can be facilitated by a remote button, key switch or access control system output and may be configured for individual EBG units or grouped to reset multiple units at once.”

According to McKeon, the EBG features the same footprint and mounting pattern as popular legacy manual break glass units.

“Existing lock power cables are used for automatic reset mode making upgrades and retrofitting a breeze,” McKeon said.

“In another break glass first, a built-in tamper switch monitors both the case and base for removal. The tamper output can be combined with EBG activation monitoring or used separately as a dedicated alarm.”

Security managers, security installers and security integrators can check out the new Jack Fuse Electronic Break Glass for the first time at SAGE 2024 and talk to the Jack Fuse team about how it can improve your security outcomes.
