Milestone and IQSIGHT release SmartSuite XProtect Integration – Milestone Systems and IQSIGHT, previously Bosch Video Systems, have expanded their technology partnership with the release of SmartSuite, a consolidated plugin suite designed to integrate IQSIGHT Intelligent Video Analytics directly into Milestone’s XProtect video management software.
SmartSuite embeds analytics functions and camera management tools within the XProtect environment, allowing operators and integrators to configure devices, visualise analytics metadata and manage operations through a single interface. The integration is designed to simplify system setup and provide greater access to analytics information during investigations and operational monitoring.
According to Milestone vice president technology partnerships and open platform Sebastian Döllner, the integration reflects a broader focus on unifying security technologies within open platforms.

SmartSuite consolidates 3 previously separate plugins into a single installation package, which Milestone and IQSIGHT say can reduce installation time by up to 70 per cent. The platform also introduces tools designed to simplify commissioning and device configuration.
Integrators can configure supported cameras directly through the XProtect Management Client, removing the need to log into individual devices or move between different configuration tools. The system also supports automatic configuration using project assistant import tools, allowing camera names, groups, network settings and image parameters to be loaded during commissioning.
SmartSuite enables XProtect operators to view analytics metadata generated by IQSIGHT analytics engines, including object classification, trajectory information and colour-coded bounding boxes. The metadata is designed to support real-time monitoring as well as forensic investigation using recorded video.
The integration supports analytics functions such as appearance detection, personal protective equipment monitoring and visual gun detection, which identifies a person brandishing a firearm and generates alerts to assist with faster threat detection in environments such as schools.
According to IQSIGHT chief commercial officer Sam Ward, the integration is intended to make analytics insights more accessible to operators and decision makers.

Additional functionality includes panoramic camera de-warping, device hardware control such as infrared illumination and wiper control, and simplified event subscription designed to support analytics-driven alarms and notifications.
