Milestone Systems has announced the hire of 3 new employees to the company’s South Pacific team – Cameron Newman, Joshua Serdzeff and Kaliyani Nand.

The new roles reflect Milestone’s strong local growth, and usher in a re-engineering of the local team structure designed to offer more support to customers and channel partners across the region.

Cameron Newman, previously with one of the world’s leading camera manufacturers, joins the Melbourne-based team in the role of channel business manager. His territories will include Victoria, Tasmania and New Zealand.

During the last 4 years, Newman has held the position of account executive for the New Zealand market, before heading to an expanded role in Australia in 2018.

According to Brett Hansen, country manager for the South Pacific region Cameron brings a wealth of knowledge across the various industries and regions.

“Cameron’s intimate knowledge of his native New Zealand market will add great value to our expansion plans over there, as well as in Victoria and Tasmania. He has a strong track record of developing and nurturing key integrators, which will aid our deployments right across the business spectrum,” Hansen said.

Meanwhile, Joshua Serdzeff has joined the company as a solutions engineer operating out of Milestone Systems’ Port Melbourne headquarters. Serdzeff will be responsible for helping support business growth across a territory that includes Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. His role will involve designing and developing solutions across all industries and working closely with channel business manager, Brian Cross, to grow sales across the region. Serdzeff has more than eleven years of IT industry experience across a range of roles and industries.

Rounding out the latest expansion for Milestone Systems, Kaliyani Nand joins the Sydney team in the role of junior channel business manager. Her role will oversee the development of new business initiatives and opportunities in the South Pacific region.

To coincide with the expansion of Milestone’s Channel Business team in Australia, the company is enhancing its channel business, building 3 teams to focus on channel development and sales. Moving forward, each of the company’s 3 channel business managers will have a dedicated engineer to support their specific territory.

Rafal Loretz will support Cameron Newman in the Victoria, Tasmania and New Zealand territory, and engineer Srinivasan Krishnamoorthy will fulfil a similar brief in New South Wales & the Australian Capital Territory.

“We have adjusted operations to capitalise on our growing team, and offer customers and partners a more stable, responsive channel business,” said Hansen.

“Bringing Cameron, Kaliyani and Joshua on board adds significant experience to the company and will help us drive business growth. With dedicated engineering support specific to each region, our existing and prospective customers will have a trusted and reliable point of contact for their solutions.”
