Motorola Solutions Expands Pelco Range With AI-Powered Cameras And Sensors.
Motorola Solutions Expands Pelco Range – Motorola Solutions has announced a new range of Pelco AI-powered cameras and sensors engineered for critical infrastructure and harsh environments.
Since acquiring Pelco in 2020, Motorola Solutions has expanded and re-engineered the product line, incorporating technologies from strategic acquisitions including Videotec, IP Video and Silent Sentinel. The devices are designed for use in sectors such as oil and gas, transport, ports, aviation and utilities—industries that require durable surveillance equipment capable of operating in extreme conditions.
Integrating these technologies, the new lineup includes models such as the Esprit Anti-Corrosion camera for marine environments, and the ExSite Enhanced Thermal 2, a fixed thermal imaging camera with explosion-proof certifications. Also included is the Halo Smart Sensor, a non-video unit that monitors for sound anomalies, motion, vaping, gunshots and keywords such as ‘help’ without capturing video footage.
For long-range applications, Aeron and Jaegar models deliver detection at distances of up to 26km, suited to military and aviation settings. All devices are compatible with ONVIF systems and supported by Elevate, a cloud-based platform that manages camera health and enables additional AI functions. Of note, Pelco’s entire portfolio complies with NDAA Section 889 for secure equipment procurement.
