Multiple Government Electronic Security And Monitoring Tenders Sought.
Multiple Government Electronic Security And Monitoring Tenders – Multiple Australian government agencies have released tenders seeking CCTV, communications, fire control and monitoring technologies.
The Department of Home Affairs has announced it will seek suppliers for handheld radio communications and accessories for the Australian Border Force, with the tender expected to be released by the end of December 2025. This procurement aims to equip frontline officers with secure, reliable communications at a time of growing operational complexity.
At the same time, multiple CCTV and surveillance projects are under way. The Department of Housing and Works is upgrading camera infrastructure at Geraldton Residential College in Western Australia, expanding the current system to improve oversight and safety for students.
In the Northern Territory, Katherine Town Council is procuring a comprehensive CCTV solution for its Waste Management Facility on Novis Quarry Road. The new system will integrate with the council’s existing DMSS network to monitor key buildings and deter theft and vandalism, with completion scheduled for December 2025.
Further south, the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is undertaking a major procurement for new contractor-owned fire detection cameras at 4 established sites. The project includes the provision of a secure online platform, maintenance, and 24/7 technical support. Suppliers must meet mandated ICT Services Scheme requirements to be eligible.
The Australian Fisheries Management Authority is also preparing a large-scale tender for the supply, installation, and support of electronic monitoring systems and hardware, expected to be released at the end of December 2025. This will enhance monitoring across the authority’s operational areas, contributing to compliance and sustainability objectives.
Together these tenders highlight a coordinated push to modernise surveillance and communications across federal, state and local operations. From education facilities and waste management plants to fisheries and border security, the projects reflect a growing emphasis on integrated monitoring and real-time situational awareness to safeguard people, assets and environments.
