New Axis Access Controllers Coming – Axis Communications will release 2 network door controllers offering everything needed to power and control 2 doors via 1 PoE cable. Designed for various access control applications, the AXIS A1610 and AXIS A1610-B controllers offer extra processing power, memory, and storage.
AXIS A1610 Network Door Controller includes everything needed to control two doors. This advanced, plenum-rated device offers support for DIN rail mounts for fast and easy installation on walls. The other model, AXIS A1610-B Network Door Controller, is an edge-based UL recognized barebone door controller. Sold without a top cover, it’s excellent for building customized access control solutions offering easy integration into an Axis or third-party enclosure.
New Axis Access Controllers Coming
Designed to withstand harsh conditions, these door controllers can operate in temperatures from -40C to 70C. They offer support for PoE+ and DC and thanks to 6 configurable auxiliary I/O ports, and easy integration with sensors and external security systems, for instance to detect emergency alarms.
Thanks to intelligence on the edge, the controllers can internally handle all tasks related to door access—even if the network is down. Built-in cybersecurity features help prevent unauthorized access and safeguard the system. Additionally, they ensure cryptographic keys, such as the OSPD Secure Channel encryption key, are safely and securely stored in the onboard EAL6+ Certified compute module.
