New Dahua Wireless Alarm Hub 2 – Dahua’s new wireless Alarm Hub 2 DHI-ARC3800H-FW2 solution made an appearance at Integrate & Security in Sydney recently and it looked quite familiar to those who follow the alarms industry closely.
Dahua Hub 2 is supported by a large range of internal and external sensors, which give the system considerable capability, including PIR cameras, water leak sensors, smoke sensors, tri-tech sensors, reed switches, glassbreak sensors, expanders, sirens and more.
Alarm Hub 2 supports video verification through integration of the IPC with the hub, with event images quickly transferred from Dahua PIR-Cams to the hub. The system supports voice call alarm, wired and AP network config methods and multi-network redundancy through ethernet, Wi-Fi and 4G networks.
There’s 2-way communication and frequency hopping to make communication with wireless peripherals stable and reliable, as well as remote updating of the system and wireless peripherals via the mobile app.
This is a highly expandable solution with the capacity to support up to 150 wireless peripherals including up to 64 PIR cameras, 64 keyfobs, 8 keypads, 4 repeaters and more. Each system supports 33 app users, including 31 general users, 1 admin user and 1 installer, as well as 32 keypad users, with a 5000-event log.
System comms is 433.1–434.6 MHz with frequency hopping and all signals AES128 encrypted. The system has a 10mW transmitter power giving a transmission distance of around 1500 metres line of sight.
There’s an integrated 4750 mAH rechargeable lithium backup battery offering 12 hours support in the event of power failure. The system has an operating temperature of -10 to 55C and it’s compact – about 175mm long, 175mm wide and 38mm deep with a weight of around 860g.
