Optex OAM-EXPLORER Industrial Door Opener – The OAM-EXPLORER is an industrial door opener for sites managing forklifts and pedestrians.
The OAM-EXPLORER facilitates and secures the flow of vehicles including forklifts and trucks and can also be programmed to sense and react to human traffic moving in and out of a building. The sensor can control external devices such as warning lights or alarms to warn vehicles and pedestrians on the opposite side of the door.

Furthermore, the OAM-EXPLORER avoids unwanted door openings to contribute to increased efficientcy of temperature management and room separation where hygien is of concern.
The device has 3 independent relay outputs, microwave, supplemental safety, and AUX/pre-notification. These independent relays can be sequenced to provide up to 9 different combinations of relay outputs. The OAM-EXPLORER uses a large microwave detection area for activation, and infrared technology for safety around the threshold.
Optex OAM-EXPLORER was designed for simplicity and installation and adjustment times have been minimized. The new screwless design allows for smooth independent angle setting. Compared with conventional industrial door sensors, total installation time is reduced by approximately half, according to Optex.

Once the OAM-EXPLORER is installed on the header or ceiling, further configuration and fine tuning are done via the free smart phone app. By registering your favourite settings, installers can replicate them onto other sensors across the site. This feature can be used in facilities that have multiple industrial doors, or in multiple different facilities where similarities exist, saving time.
The unit has a 2-6m mounting height, can run on 12 or 24V DC, draws less than 2.5W, has a response time of less than 300ths of a second, operates in -35 to 55C, communicates via Bluetooth and weighs 600g.
