Peter Grimshaw has been promoted to the role of general manager of sales ANZ for Anixter’s CSD and Atlas Gentech businesses.
“The acquisition of CSD, Atlas Gentech and Inner Range is proving to be very complimentary to the Anixter business in Australia and New Zealand,” said Tim Martin, Anixter’s senior vice president – APAC. “The integration of these local companies into our global organisation has enabled us to identify key personnel capable of offering more to the business units in the region.
“Taking this into consideration as part of the recent restructuring of our management team, we are excited to announce the promotion of Peter Grimshaw, who has been the general manager of sales at CSD for the past 4 years, to the general manager of sales ANZ, for CSD in Australia and the Atlas Gentech business in New Zealand. Peter will be responsible for driving the sales forces in both countries and for delivering a more unified approach to our sales strategies in this region.”
Grimshaw, who has worked in the security industry for well over 30 years in sales management roles for Hills and CSD, said he was excited by the new opportunities that have resulted from the Anixter acquisition CSD and Atlas Gentech.
“Australia and New Zealand are very close neighbours but it is perfectly clear to me that while business is conducted in a similar manner, the markets are not the same,” Grimshaw said. “We are working on programs to unify certain aspects of the businesses but in some cases where we are already extremely successful in NZ, we will retain the status quo.
“There are exciting times ahead for our newly formed alliance across ANZ and I am really looking forward to the challenges of bringing the teams together to collaboratively generate success.”
