Pre-Register Now For SAGE 2021!

With NSW and ACT borders due to open on November 1, SAGE 2021 will be held at the Realm Hotel in Canberra on November 25  – delegates/attendees can pre-register here and exhibitors can pre-register here.

Sponsored by Gallagher Security, SAGE 2021 is a one-day pop-up expo that brings the latest solutions to security professionals in the nation’s capital. The event incorporates the ASIS ACT seminars and the SAGE ASIS Dinner. This year’s keynote will be Nicholas Martin, head of property and security services at AGL Energy, who will speak in the expo hall on “Converged Security Programs”.

ASIS ACT has finalised the seminar speakers list – the program, which is open to all registered SAGE attendees, will run as follows:

10:00hrs: Ms Yalda Assef, General Manager, Aviation Security, MSS on “Comparing US and Australian Security.”
11.00hrs: Dr Tony Murney, Independent Security Sector Reform Adviser on “Parliament House Security: The Demise of Democracy?”
12.00hrs: Daniel Lewkovitz, CPP, CEO, Calamity on “How the Security Industry Became a Threat to National Security”.

13-14:00hrs: Luncheon break

14:00hrs: Codee Ludbey, CPP, Principal Security Consultant, Tactix on “Assuring Cyber and Physical Security in Design: A Systems Engineering Approach”.
15:00hrs: Julian Claxton, Managing Director, Jayde Consulting, on “The Trusted Insider Threat”.

Meanwhile the SAGE ASIS Dinner (book here) will be held at the Southern Cross Club in Woden from 6:30pm to 10:30pm after the expo closes, with all attendees invited to a 2-course set menu – Entree and Dinner – sponsored by Server Racks Australia Solutions. Cost for the dinner is $A70 for non-members and dress is smart casual. Guests should note that due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no pre-dinner drinks this year. You can purchase 10 tickets by emailing asisactchairman@gmail.com to request a table reservation.

Exhibitors at SAGE 2021 include AISM Neuro, Avigilon, Axis COmmunications, Bosch, BM Doors, CIC Technology, CriticalArc, Deploy, EVVA, Ezi Security Systems, FSH, Gallagher, Geutebruck, HID, Inner Range, Milestone, OSD, Sektor, SRA Solutions, Traka and Warrgambi. According to organiser, Monique Keatinge, there are 2 spaces remaining at the event – anyone interested in exhibiting at SAGE this year should call 61 2 9280 4425.

In accordance with health advice prevailing on November 25, numbers in the exhibition and seminar spaces will be closely managed and the ASIS seminars will be live-streamed around the venue to facilitate social distancing. Other COVID safety procedures will include masking, distancing in the expo hall, hand hygiene stations, contact tracing, elevated venue ventilation rates, and the presence of COVID marshals.

All attendees are encouraged to be fully vaccinated 2 weeks before the event – attendees and exhibitors from NSW should note that it’s certain only fully vaccinated people will be able to cross the NSW/ACT border late November.

Importantly, the latest advice is that NSW/ACT border will be opened on November 1 to fully vaccinated people and the Realm Hotel reports that numbers allowed in the ballroom will be 170, with further increases likely before the event.
