Queensland Corrections Seeks Electronic Security – Queensland Government, acting through the Department of Energy and Public Works (DEPW) – Qbuild – is seeking to engage a suitable licensed maintenance contractor to provide services relating to the electronic security systems across various correctional facilities’ sites for Queensland Corrective Services (QCS).

The electronic security systems deployed within QCS correctional facilities are multi-layered systems incorporating multiple systems and subsystems that are either a part of the physical security at correctional centres, or enhance the physical security in place and allow for improvement of procedural and dynamic security measures. ESS are key operational components of correctional environments, ensuring their ongoing effective operation.

Queensland has 14 correctional facilities, including Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre, Borallon Training and Correctional Centre, Brisbane Correctional Centre and Brisbane Women’s Correctional Centre, Maryborough Correctional Centre, Wolston Correctional Centre, Capricornia Correctional Centre, Helana Jones Centre, Lotus Glen Correctional Centre, Numinbah Correctional Centre, Palen Creek Correctional Centre, Southern Queensland Correctional Centre, Townsville Correctional Centre and Woodford Correctional Centre.
