Queensland Rail CCTV Tender Winners – Queensland Rail went to tender late last year seeking a CCTV and security systems panel seeking projected works over the contract period with a value of $A9 million.
Contractors announced included Australian Electronic Maintenance Services, PRIDE Electronic Security Systems, Securitas Australia, SECURCOM, Link Enterprise Solutions, SJP Access, KOBE and Sapio.

Queensland Rail uses a centralised CCTV management system to view video streams from remotely located cameras at approximately 150 Queensland Rail suburban Citytrain stations as well as numerous regional stations, depots, and yards.
Monitoring of the surveillance solution takes place at the state-of-the-art QR Rail Management Centre in Bowen Hills, which is said to be the most advanced rail operation centre in Australia complete with a 24-metre long video wall – the longest LG control screen monitor in the world.

More than 250 staff work out of the centre, and train controllers manage approximately 900 passenger services, 800 kilometres of track and 150,000 customers passing through the South East Queensland rail network each weekday.
This Queensland Rail CCTV tender relates to the supply and installation of additional CCTV and electronic security systems at various locations throughout Queensland Rail’s network.
