Queensland Rail Seeks Security Services – Queensland Rail is seeking a contractor to deliver security services across its rail network, including stations, onboard services and depots in both South-East Queensland and regional centres.
The scope of the contract includes static guards, mobile patrols, alarm response, canine units, gatehouse operations, and cash collection and delivery. The selected provider will be required to supply a minimum of 200 trained personnel, with capacity to scale up for major events, including the 2032 Brisbane Olympics and Paralympics.
The contract will support Queensland Rail operations at more than 150 stations, 16 stabling yards, and various depots and assets stretching from Gympie and Rockhampton to Townsville and Cairns.
Queensland Rail, which is owned by the Queensland Government, operates suburban and long-distance rail services across approximately 6600 kilometres of track and employs over 6500 staff.
