Redfern Oval Secured With AXON Access Control And Vivotek CCTV – South Sydney Rabbitohs’ Reg Richardson AO Training & Learning Centre has been fitted with a new integrated access control and surveillance system supplied by VSP Security Wholesale and installed by Altech Security Services.
The system is designed to protect the club’s multi-use facility at Redfern Oval, which is shared by players, staff, TAFE NSW students, medical clinic patients, and visitors, and the solution includes AXON access control, Vivotek surveillance, and NX Witness video management.
On the access control side is an AXON-256AU central control panel providing scalable security management, an AXON-ATS1125 LCD keypad interface for system control and monitoring, and an AXON-ATS624 plug-on expander to deliver expanded input/output capability for seamless integration of multiple devices. HID Signo keypad readers (HID-20NKS-01 & HID-20KNKS-01) handle secure authentication for staff and authorised personnel, while an Aritech AI673 Optical & Acoustic Indicator delivers visual and auditory alerts to enhance situational awareness.
The CCTV side includes Vivotek’s VIVO-IT9383-HVW outdoor fixed dome camera with advanced imaging, with the VIVO-IT9383-HTVW outdoor fixed dome camera with vari-focal capability handling external duties. Lenovo’s Server-M70S provides a platform for video management and storage, while NX Witness video management software delivers day to day operational support.
HID Signo readers secure key doors, while the AXON-256AU controller, AXON LCD keypads, and plug-on expanders allow scalable and flexible security management. The Vivotek cameras with fixed and vari-focal lenses provide site-wide coverage. The system is built to scale and includes user-friendly alignment tools, automatic area calibration, and network integration without reliance on standalone DVRs or keypad-only access.
According to VSP’s Zaki Wazir, the system meets Australian Standards for access control and surveillance retention, supports mobile credentials, and simplifies administration through web-based access and mobile app integration.
“All doors are protected with credential-based access while the cameras provide live monitoring and recorded evidence with fast search and secure retention,” Wazir said.
“Together, the access control and CCTV components installed by Altech Security Services, provide a seamless, future-proof solution that strengthened security across the facility while simplifying day-to-day management.”
According to South’s CEO Blake Solly, the new Reg Richardson AO Training & Learning Centre is an extremely important part of the Club’s strategy to combine elite training with education and community programs.
