Risco BWare Detectors – LSC’s Risco BWare detectors, like the BWare Grade 2 dual technology sensor pictured above, offer a range of key features that enhance catch performance and false alarm resistance.
A parabolic/convex lens significantly enhances passive infrared detection efficiency. Its larger size and convex shape allow more infrared radiation to enter, sharply focusing on the sensor. This design not only boosts the detector’s performance, but also its sensitivity, making it adept at perceiving subtle environmental changes.

BWare relay detectors also feature integrated end-of-line resistors (EOLR), eliminating the need for installers to attach resistors manually. This feature simplifies the installation process and allows the control panel to supervise field wiring for open or short circuit conditions. It also enables differentiation between different alarm or fault conditions, saving time and effort for installers, and ensuring a smoother installation process.
Risco BWare detectors are designed with an internal PCB cover that provides an extra layer of protection during installation. This ensures the longevity and durability of the hardware. Wireless models of BWare detectors have an easy battery replacement. This design element allows for quick battery replacement, minimising downtime and ensuring continuous operation.
Finally, BWare bus detectors offer an additional zone input, allowing regular relay detectors to be wired directly to the BWare bus detector. This feature eliminates the need for additional wiring back to the main panel or zone expander, providing cost savings and simplifying the installation process.
