Australian paper and hygiene system manufacturer, Royal Touch, has replaced its high-touch timesheet system with a hands-free, facial recognition solution from time and attendance technology platform developer, NoahFace.

The solution, which uses a secure app on Android and Apple phones, will enable Royal Touch to help mitigate health risks for its workforce, which must record attendance as they work on site, supplying products to hospitals, government and early learning centres Australia wide.

Royal Touch has deployed NoahFace at both its manufacturing plant and separate distribution centre supporting their 30+ staff.

“Improving the efficiency and accuracy of our time keeping records drove our decision to move to NoahFace, but the touch free interface has proven to be a fantastic attribute in the current environment,” said Dominic Chetcuti, director at Royal Touch. “The system has already shown its value and been welcomed by our staff.”

Noah Face founder and CEO Geoff Cropley said that the company has seen an uptick in demand for Noah Face’s touch free technology in the face of COVID-19.

“As essential work places seek ways to reduce physical touch points for their employees but still continue to comply with regulatory requirements, older style technologies such a thumb readers and keypad entry systems are being replaced with our innovative and simple solutions that can support their business with minimum fuss,” Cropley said.

NoahFace time and attendance technology platform enables organisations to accurately track and report employee attendance. It authenticates and verifies staff using iPad-based facial recognition software, removes the need for human touch and reduces the infections risk. NoahFace also helps organisations comply with the Fair Work Act Award changes, which came into force on 1st March 2020.

As well as being used for time and attendance purposes, Noah Face technology is used for touch free, frictionless access control in retail and manufacturing environments, for example by the Telstra retail stores in Dubbo, Parkes and Grafton to enable access to secure store rooms and by Canberra Airport access to management offices. Other Noahface customers include Rhino-Rack and Private Vaults Australia.
