Rugged Zenitel ZDD-1 Video Intercom – Zenitel ZDD-1 is a multifunctional video intercom designed for use in multi-tenant corporate environments that combines a compact form factor with a 7-inch high-resolution TFT LCD touchscreen.
This unit is built for intuitive operation and reliable performance with robust construction, rated to IP66 and IK08, making it suitable for both indoor and sheltered outdoor installations. The ZDD-1 includes 4 MEMS omnidirectional microphones and a 4 x 4W Class D amplifier.
Audio functions are supported by active noise cancellation, echo cancellation, automatic gain control, and open duplex communication. These specifications allow the device to maintain clear, two-way communication in environments with variable background noise levels.
On the video side, the ZDD-1 offers HD image quality with support for resolutions up to 1080p. The onboard wide-angle lens is supported by digital PTZ capability. Video streams are available in MJPEG and H.264 formats and the device conforms to ONVIF standards, enabling integration into third-party VMS platforms.
The intercom supports SIP and a wide range of network protocols including HTTPS, SRTP, and ONVIF, and is compatible with Zenitel Connect Pro, IC-EDGE, and AlphaCom systems. Physical connections include dual RJ45 Ethernet ports, tool-free I/O terminals, and a change-over relay. The unit also includes radar-based presence detection, an ambient light sensor, and offers flexible mounting options for wall or flush installation.
Zenitel ZDD-1 operates on PoE++ (802.3bt Type 3 Class 6) with a maximum power draw of 30W. The unit measures 281 x 176 x 44.5mm and weighs 1.7kg. Operating temperature ranges from -25° to 55°C, and all materials meet RoHS and REACH standards.
