Schlage Encore Multi-Credential Smart Lock For Commercial Applications.
Schlage Encore Multi-Credential Smart Lock – Allegion Australia has released the Schlage Encore commercial smart lock and Schlage Breeze access management platform in ANZ.
Engineered and assembled in Melbourne, the Schlage Encore combines fingerprint, PIN, RFID, Bluetooth and mechanical key access in a single lock body and is designed for applications where electronic access, fire-door compliance and remote management are required.
Schlage Encore supports up to 300 fingerprints, touchscreen PIN codes, RFID tags and Bluetooth access through the Schlage Breeze app. There are 2 mechanical backup keys provided through a rekeyable PD cylinder and physical master keying is an option.
The external escutcheon has an IP65 rating for exposed external door installations, and the lock accepts either a tubular latch or mortice lock. Importantly, it can be rated for up to 2 hours on fire door assemblies when installed with the Legge 991 Mortice Lock or Schlage 48009164 Tubular Latch.
Monitoring features include a built-in tamper alarm, request-to-exit through internal cylinder and lever sensing, and door status monitoring when paired with the Schlage Breeze Door Sensor.
According to Nick Flinos, director EAC strategy at Allegion ANZ, Schlage Encore was designed to address several requirements that can complicate hardware specification.
"Schlage Encore mitigates the compliance requirements that typically create friction at the hardware specification stage, including fire-door compatibility, weather rating, and a DDA-compliant lever in a single product,” Flinos said.

“For integrators and specifiers, the unit removes a lot of risk from the hardware schedule. The Schlage Breeze platform and the supporting accessories also give installers a clear deployment path without the integration into a full PACS infrastructure."
Encore forms part of the Schlage Breeze platform, which provides 2 deployment configurations. In standalone mode, the cloud-based platform provides centralised user management through either the BZ100 Wi-Fi Bridge or BZ100-P PoE Bridge. For buildings with an existing proptech platform, the lock can operate in the background while resident or building management applications provide the user interface.
The wider Breeze range includes the Schlage Keypad Controller, which provides a REX input and general-purpose relay output for driving an electric strike or maglock, and the Schlage Breeze Encoder for on-site card programming. Scar plates are also available for retrofit to existing Schlage Omnia installations.
Schlage Encore is available in satin chrome plate and matte black finishes and carries a 2-year mechanical and 2-year electronic warranty.
Encore is available through Allegion's authorised distribution network across Australia and New Zealand – you can learn more here or read more SEN news here.
