SecTech organisers are planning a simpler SecTech Camera Shootout in 2022, with a focus on in-camera IVA performance in changing light.
We’ve not done in-camera IVA at SecTech Shootout before, so this angle is going to be interesting – especially given the market hasn’t seen the latest developments for 2 years. There are a number of manufacturers who’ve put considerable effort into perfecting their IVA offerings – iPro, Hikvision, Axis, Hanwha and Dahua spring immediately to mind.
This year’s shootout will likely a focus on 3-4 parameters of IVA functionality (face capture, plate capture, direction of movement, multiple target acquisition), that we will run through one at a time in variable conditions.
SecTech is a touring roadshow that travels through 5 Australian cities each May – it’s a pop-up roadshow that’s all about getting face time with the latest technologies – we’ve waited years to get back on the road post-pandemic and we’re looking forward to seeing you all again!
SecTech will open in Perth on May 6 at the Perth Convention Centre, Adelaide on May 11 at the Adelaide Showground, Sydney on May 13 at the Hordern Pavilion, Brisbane on May 18 at the RICC and Melbourne on May 20 at the MCEC.
Sponsored by Dahua Technologies, this year’s roadies include Hills, Pelco, VSP, Avigilon, dormakaba, LSC, Salto, GSA, BGW Technologies, Video Alarm Technologies, SCSI, ICT, Mobotix, Digifort, BriefCam, ISCS, Suprema, OpeEye, Allegion, CS Technologies, Nedap and Ava Security.
There’s limited space on the SecTech trucks – any company interested in exhibiting this year should call Monique on 61 2 9280 4425 without delay!
