REGISTER at www.ag.gov.au/sig to attend the Security in Government (SIG) Conference 2015, scheduled from 31 August to 2 September 2015 at the National Convention Centre, Canberra. 

Themed, Security Risk Management – Getting it Right, the conference program will consider the evolution of security risk management in recent years, focusing on case studies, best practice and current and emerging issues that impact on getting security risk management right.

International and domestic protective security experts speaking at SIG 2015 include Andrew Annakin, New Zealand Intelligence Organisation, who will provide an insight into the implementation of the New Zealand protective security requirements; Joe Franzi, Australian Signals Directorate and Australian Cyber Security Centre who will speak on managing risk posed by targeted cyber intrusions; and Dr Mark Stewart, the University of Newcastle who will be assessing the impact and consequence of risk. 

The SIG 2015 exhibition attached to the SIG Conference will feature Cyber Scurry 2015 hosted by Edith Cowan University and CERT Australia.

 Cyber Scurry is a competition to test and validate cyber security professionals’ capabilities in offensive and defensive cyber security techniques, using home grown capability. For more information and to register for Cyber Scurry 2015 visit www.ag.gov.au/sig ♦
