See Hikvision TalkVu Video Intercom At SecTech 2026!
See Hikvision TalkVu Video Intercom – Hikvision will showcase its next-generation TalkVu video intercom solution at SecTech 2026, with the platform positioned as a unified residential access and control system combining video, audio and smart integration capabilities.
SecTech opens in Brisbane on 12 May, followed by Sydney on 14 May, Melbourne on 19 May, Adelaide on 21 May and Perth on 26 May, giving integrators and end users the perfect opportunity to see the latest Hikvision’s intercom technology in their hometown.
TalkVu is built around a 4MP imaging platform with wide-angle coverage of up to 150 or 180 degrees to eliminate blind spots across entry points. The system is designed to maintain image clarity across varying lighting conditions, addressing common challenges such as backlight and shadow that can impact identification at the door.
Audio performance is well covered, with dual microphones, integrated speakers and noise suppression designed to reduce environmental interference. The system is intended to support clear 2-way communication in typical residential environments, including locations exposed to wind or traffic noise.
From an access perspective, TalkVu supports multiple credential types, including facial recognition, card, PIN, Bluetooth, QR code and mobile app control via Hik-Connect. This reflects a broader shift towards flexible, user-driven access management in residential and multi-tenant environments.
The platform also acts as a control interface for connected systems, with the indoor station designed to integrate video, alarm, intercom, elevator control, lighting and environmental systems through a single touchscreen interface. Remote access is supported via the Hik-Connect app, allowing users to manage system states such as ‘Home’ and ‘Away’.
Talk-Vu integrates with the DS-KH9570-WTE1/S Android indoor station, featuring a 10.1-inch IPS touchscreen with 1920 x 1200 resolution, supported by a quad-core processor and running Android 14. The unit incorporates dual microphones and speakers with echo cancellation and noise suppression for real-time communication.
Part of the TalkVu ecosystem is the DS-KV6124-WBE1 villa door station, offering 4MP resolution with a 150-degree field of view, dual lock control and support for multiple unlocking methods. The device supports PoE power and allows video recording and playback via Hik-Connect or web interface.
The TalkVu system is designed to scale across different residential applications. In apartment deployments, it supports up to 500 indoor stations with multiple door stations per building and integration with elevator control systems. In villa environments, it enables simultaneous calling across multiple indoor stations, with remote access and control via mobile app.
TalkVu is a strong release in a growing area of the market and its ability to scale makes it more appealing still – don’t miss it at SecTech. You can register for your SecTech city here, learn about Hikvision here or read more SEN news here.
