Sektor Hamilton Island Conference Highlights Connected Edge, Cyber And Physical Security.
Sektor Hamilton Island Conference Highlights Connected Edge – Sektor Hamilton Island conference held early February puts cyber and physical security and the connected edge in sharp focus, according to Sektor’s Tom Kinkade.
“The agenda highlights at the Sektor Hamilton Island Conference 2026 centred on the convergence of payments, cyber and physical security, and connected edge technologies, with keynote sessions from Visa Acceptance Solutions partners and global technology vendors setting the tone for four days of discussion and demonstration,” Kinkade said.
“Held from 4–7 February 2026 on Hamilton Island in Queensland’s Whitsundays, the conference brought together Australian and international technology vendors, integrators and enterprise customers for more than 21 learning sessions across 3 themed streams, supported by a live exhibition program.
“The agenda was structured around Connected Edge, Cyber and Physical Security, and POS and Payments Everywhere. Sessions examined how enterprises are deploying intelligence closer to the edge, securing increasingly distributed environments, and embedding payments and point-of-service capability into everyday business workflows.”
In the Connected Edge stream, presentations focused on enterprise mobility, network infrastructure, cloud-managed devices and real-time operational insight, with discussion on how data gathered at the edge is reshaping decision-making and service delivery.
“Meanwhile, the Cyber and Physical Security stream addressed the growing overlap between digital and physical risk, covering unified security platforms, AI-assisted threat detection, identity and access technologies, and governance considerations as security systems scale across sites and jurisdictions,” Kinkade said.
Keynote and featured sessions were delivered by partners including Zebra, Paysuite, Honeywell, Skyhigh, and iMin, with topics ranging from connected enterprise workflows and future payments models to the intersection of data, AI and security.
Beyond the formal program, delegates participated in structured networking events across Hamilton Island, including welcome receptions, gala dinners, a Whitsundays cruise and a golf day, reflecting the conference’s aim of combining technical depth with relationship building.
