SEME Wins Womens Prison Gallagher Upgrade.
SEME Wins Womens Prison – Perth-based security integrator, SEME Solutions, has won a contract to upgrade security at Bandyup Womens Prison.
Released by Programmed Facility Management on behalf of WA’s Department of Finance, the works included but were not limited to the decommissioning 12 existing Gallagher Controller 3000 field devices and the supply and installation of new Gallagher Controller 6000 units.
Also included in the $A120,618 contract was upgrading headend servers, including a Gallagher Command Centre upgrade, and re-establishing the existing high level interface between Gallagher Command Centre, IndigoVision Control Centre and Senstar Network Control.
Bandyup Womens Prison is a 321-bed facility, located in the north-eastern rural Perth suburb of West Swan, that holds sentenced and remand prisoners of all security classifications. It is run as a maximum-security prison, though only 10 per cent of the women are categorised as maximum security.
