Siri Commands The Sky – Inner Range’s SkyCommand mobile app can now be controlled via Siri on iOS smart phones.
According to Inner Range’s Eugene Ma Ching, when Inception or Integriti is deployed, Siri can control a building’s security and automation using the SkyCommand app.
“This is a great feature that take advantage of the power of Siri and lets your voice do the work, Ma Ching said. “Set up is super simple, and control of your connected devices is a breeze.”
“One of the most enjoyable things to talk about at the recent Integrate & Security Expo was Siri control of sites via SkyCommand. I’m personally an Android user, but this new functionality has got me thinking about changing camps.”
According to Ma Ching, the functionality caught the attention of everyone he showed it to – so much so that he made a couple of videos to show it running on several sites.
“Firstly, Inception – I have an automated action set up to unlock a door and disarm 3 areas from one voice prompt,” Ma Ching explained. “This could be set up for a single area, door or output, if desired.”

“Secondly, I have a Paradox SP6000+ panel set up with serial control via a T4000 Ultralite. Once the serial port is unlocked on the panel, you have access to control the areas at a high level with a T4000 – it’s the perfect home and office control scenario in one – and this functionality extends to Apple Carplay control of SkyCommand, too.”
SkyCommand is a mobile app designed for Inner Range’s Inception and Integriti systems. Combined with the high-level integration provided by Inner Range’s Multipath-IP T4000 Communicator, SkyCommand provides powerful control over door access, security and automation, as well as delivering alarm notifications.
