Stuart Pitcher, National Operations Manager for Electronics at SNP, said that his team are experts in this niche security area.

“It is the sixth Safe City tender that we have won in the past 12 months. We have become highly specialised in providing effective security solutions within public areas. Our CCTV surveillance networks are designed to increase public safety within municipalities.  It’s our goal to provide added protection in public areas and reduce crime rates,” says Pitcher.

The team at SNP Security have designed security solutions across a wide range of Safe City projects including: City of Melbourne, City of Footscray, City of Dandenong, City of Stonnington and City of Knox.  Earlier this week, SNP Security’s new CCTV surveillance network at Boronia Junction Shopping Centre, which is part of the City of Knox, was officially opened by Laura Smyth, MP, Federal Member for La Trobe.

“The effectiveness of an integrated security solution or a CCTV surveillance network is not necessarily a direct result of the number of cameras that are placed in any given area. Often, it’s having a strong understanding of where crime hot spots are situated in order to position cameras effectively and make a difference to the local community,” says Pitcher.
