Southern Ports Authority Seeks Security Services Likely To Include Security Integration.

Southern Ports Authority Seeks Security Services – Southern Ports Authority is seeking a qualified provider for security services at the Port of Albany, with the request now open and closing on September 15, 2025.

The successful provider will deliver services under terms outlined in the official request documentation, which is accessed through Southern Ports’ internal Felix Vendor Management System – you’ll have to register to learn more – even if you have previously participated in Southern Ports procurement.

Once registered, vendors will gain access to the tender documents and can then proceed to lodge their offer. Offers must include both vendor onboarding (Part A) and the formal offer submission (Part B) within the Felix platform. Only fully submitted and compliant bids will proceed to evaluation.

A mandatory site visit is scheduled for August 27, 2025, in Albany with attendance confirmation by 2:30pm the day before via the designated form. Offers must be submitted via Felix by the 2:30pm (AWST) deadline on September 15.

We think it’s likely this tender includes alarms, access control and CCTV. The last time SEN reported on a Port of Albany security upgrade was back in 2016 – that 10-year upgrade cadence sounds about right to us. Back in 2016 the job included cabling, wiring and terminations (including fibre optics), connection to an approved electrical supply for all CCTV and access control equipment, shop drawings; as well as O&M documentation; and operator training.

The Port of Albany is part of Southern Ports’ Great Southern operations, is 1 of 3 Western Australian commercial ports that also include Bunbury and Esperance. The port handles bulk commodities including woodchips, grain, and silica sand, and plays a key role in supporting the region’s forestry and agricultural sectors. Security at this facility includes access control, perimeter monitoring, and support for customs and quarantine compliance across a busy export and import operation.

This Southern Ports Authority seeks security services tender closes September 15 by 2.30pm Perth WA time – you can find out more here or read more SEN news here.
