Stax Installs Avigilon Alta Cloud CCTV – Stax Security has delivered a cloud-managed video surveillance upgrade for Bathurst Golf Club, replacing an ageing on-premise system that no longer met the club’s operational, safety and compliance requirements.
The project focused on improving visibility across regulated gaming areas, hospitality spaces, vehicle access points and external grounds, while reducing system complexity and ongoing maintenance.
The existing video system relied on legacy recording infrastructure and limited camera coverage, creating blind spots across the clubhouse, pro shop, gaming floor, TAB facilities, car parks and selected course access areas. These limitations increased operational risk and placed unnecessary load on internal staff responsible for system upkeep and incident review.
“Our previous video system no longer aligned with the needs of a modern golf club environment,” said Brad Constable, general manager at Bathurst Golf Club.
“We required a secure, easy-to-manage platform that would improve safety for members and staff while giving us better visibility across the clubhouse, pro shop, gaming and TAB areas, and surrounding grounds.”
Working with Sektor Australia and Motorola Solutions, local security integrator Stax Security designed and deployed a cloud-native Avigilon Alta solution aligned to the club’s mixed-use operating model. The system was engineered to support gaming and TAB compliance, public hospitality operations, large open external spaces and vehicle movement, while minimising disruption during installation.
The deployment included Avigilon Alta cameras across internal and external areas, with particular attention to coverage in regulated gaming and TAB zones, entry points, car parks and after-hours access routes. Moving to a fully cloud-managed architecture removed the need for on-site recording servers, simplifying administration, improving resilience and strengthening cybersecurity. Vehicle access monitoring was enhanced to support oversight of contractor activity and after-hours movements.
“The move to a cloud-managed platform has reduced complexity for our team and provided immediate access to footage when incidents occur,” Constable said. “Search and event detection are fast and intuitive, and the analytics have already proven valuable across security, compliance and operational review, particularly within our gaming and TAB environments.”
