Sunshine Coast Council Seeks Integrated Security Services – Sunshine Coast Council has released a tender for the provision of security services across its facilities and assets, covering electronic monitoring, maintenance, patrols, guarding and event security.
The agreement is structured as a schedule of rates contract with an initial term of 2 years and an option for a further 12-month extension at council’s discretion.
The tender is divided into 5 separable portions, allowing respondents to bid for one or multiple service streams depending on capability.
Separable portion 1 covers security monitoring services, including external electronic monitoring and management of council buildings and assets across the Sunshine Coast region. This includes routine monitoring as well as ad hoc corrective and management services.
Separable portion 2 focuses on security maintenance services, requiring periodic maintenance of access control, intruder detection and CCTV systems. Contractors will be required to implement an annual maintenance planner covering scheduled servicing, testing and replacement, along with additional corrective works as required.

Separable portion 3 relates to security patrol services, including scheduled patrols of council assets, with additional alarm response capability required on an ad hoc basis.
Separable portion 4 covers security guarding services, including routine guarding across council sites. Council has indicated it intends to appoint 2 contractors for this portion, comprising a primary contractor and a secondary provider to support additional and ad hoc requirements.
Separable portion 5 relates to event security services, supporting council-managed events across venues including Sunshine Coast Stadium and Venue 114, as well as broader community events.
Sunshine Coast Council manages a broad portfolio of public infrastructure including administrative buildings, community facilities, libraries, sporting venues, transport assets and open public spaces. The scope of this tender reflects the operational requirement to secure a geographically dispersed asset base, combining electronic security systems with physical security services to support day-to-day operations, public access and major events.
This Sunshine Coast Council Seeks Integrated Security Services tender closes at 12pm on April 30, with the contract scheduled to commence on July 1, 2026.
