REGISTRATIONS of interest are sought by the NSW Government through UrbanGrowth NSW for the new Sydney Fish Market.
UrbanGrowth NSW is supporting the New South Wales (NSW) Government’s ambition to drive an internationally competitive economy, through the creation of great destinations on Sydney Harbour that will transform Sydney, New South Wales and Australia.
The Bays Precinct Transformation Plan, which was released by the NSW Government in October 2015 identifies the Bays Market District at Glebe as one of 8 distinct and linked destinations planed for urban renewal. As shown in the plan in section 4.4 the destination runs from Glebe Island Bridge at Pyrmont along the edge of Blackwattle Bay to the Blackwattle Bay Secondary College at Glebe.
The immediate actions set out in the Transformation Plan include the rejuvenation of the Sydney Fish Market, with an expanded fresh food offering.
To achieve this outcome UrbanGrowth NSW is seeking a building services consultant to provide design services for the following disciplines for an expanded market facility to include a new home for the Sydney Fish Market:
* Security
* Building Management (BMS)
* Fire Services
* Communications
* Mechanical
* Electrical
* Hydraulic
* Lifts
* Lighting
The procurement of the Services will proceed in the following 2 stages:
* Registration of interest (ROI)
* Invitation to tender (ITT) and execution of transaction documents by the successful respondent.
Further details of the First Stage and the Second Stage are set out at 3.1 and 3.2 of the ROI. Expressions of interest close on May 4. ♦
