♦ Totem Wins Peter McAuley Centre – Totem Fencing has a won a contract worth around $A200,000 to supply security upgrades to the NT Police HQ, Peter McAuley Centre, in Darwin.
Peter McAulay Centre Darwin security upgrades required by NT Government include:
* Supply and installation of new security fencing
* Supply and installation of new gates
* Supply and installation of new flood lights.
Peter McAulay Centre (PMC) was completed late in 1985 and serves as the central complex for state policing in Darwin. The Joint Emergency Services Communications Centre (JESCC) is also housed at PMC, alongside police, fire, and the emergency services college.
Totem Fencing is based at Berrimah in Darwin and supplies fencing for a range of applications, including security solutions. All fences are constructed to Northern Territory codes and specifications and the team said it would supply and erect fencing anywhere, including in remote areas.
“Security fencing can be manufactured to meet the needs of factories, workshops, schools, government departments, kindergartens and many other locations where additional security and control is required,” said Totem. “The team is also pleased to offer advice on security problems.”
