Truelink To Acquire JCI’s Global Intrusion Products Business Including DSC, Qolsys, PowerG, Visonic, Bentel And Sur-Gard.
Truelink To Acquire JCI’s Global Intrusion Products Business – Truelink Capital has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Johnson Controls’ global intrusion products business, bringing the DSC, Qolsys, PowerG, Visonic, Bentel and Sur-Gard security brands under a new standalone company.
The transaction is expected to close in the first half of calendar year 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Financial terms have not been disclosed.
JCI’s intrusion business designs and manufactures intrusion detection and alarm communication products, including control panels, sensors and detectors, with products sold primarily through security distributors across North America, Latin America, EMEA and APAC.
The business has roots dating to 1973 and was built through Tyco’s acquisitions of DSC and Visonic before becoming part of Johnson Controls through the 2016 merger with Tyco.
Following completion of this acquisition, the business will operate independently with dedicated leadership and a capital structure intended to support growth. Truelink says it plans to invest in next-generation panels, sensors, communicators and interactive platforms, while expanding engineering capacity, brand and channel programs and its presence in adjacent and international markets.

Truelink said it also intends to pursue additional strategic add-on acquisitions alongside organic growth, with further investment and organisational announcements expected in the coming months.
“JCI’s Intrusion Products Business is a remarkable collection of brands that security professionals and consumers have relied on for decades,” said Todd Golditch, co-founder and managing partner of Truelink Capital.
“We see tremendous runway ahead for the Business and plan to invest meaningfully behind the core brands, R&D, and product development to accelerate the pace of new product introductions and deepen the business’s support for the dealer and partner community.”
“We also see significant opportunity to extend into adjacent product categories and new customer segments, both organically and via strategic add-on acquisitions,” Golditch said.
“I want to thank Johnson Controls for being an outstanding transaction partner and for entrusting us with this business.“
Truelink Capital is a Los Angeles-based private equity firm with more than $US4.3 billion in assets under management. The company focuses on industrials and business services and says it works with management teams, corporate sellers and founders to pursue growth through strategic initiatives and add-on acquisitions.
