U-Prox IP400 Ethernet Access Control Panel – U-Prox IP400 is an Ethernet-based access control panel designed to manage 1 or 2 access points across single- or double-sided entries.

Supporting 2 Wiegand readers, 8 EOL-supervised inputs, and 4 relays, the IP400 integrates core functionality required for small to large-scale access control systems. A pair of the onboard relays are rated 5A at 24V with NO, NC and COM contacts, while another pair are rated 1A at 24V offer NO and COM contacts only.

The IP400 supports real-time clock operations and can be configured via mini-USB or Ethernet using U-Prox IP software. In offline or online modes, the panel controls passage using RF ID cards or PINs, triggering locks via actuators and monitoring passage using door contacts and RTE buttons.

The panel features support for features such as antipassback and global antipassback for secure two-way access tracking. Inputs can be assigned for door status supervision and to detect forced entry or propped door conditions. It supports a full alarm state response if doors are held open beyond the programmable door time.

The panel stores up to 31,768 user identifiers, 1000 temporary IDs, and 35,000 event records in non-volatile memory. Scheduling is handled through 250 time zones, 250 weekly schedules, and 250 holidays. Each access point can be managed via time zone schedules, allowing for precise access rights control.

The panel includes over-voltage, reverse polarity and short-circuit protection for all communication and reader ports and is housed in a metal enclosure measuring 300 x 291 x 77.5mm and weighing 1kg.

The IP400 operates from 12V DC, drawing up to 160mA with voltage ripple limited to 500 mV peak-to-peak. It is rated for 0–55C operation and includes an Ethernet interface rated 10/100BASE-T. The system does not support low temperature charging and must be fully programmed and downloaded before deployment.

It supports PIN and RF ID combinations and can enforce code match attempts where failed entries trigger alarms and with robust supervision, scheduling, and event logging, the U-Prox IP400 provides a scalable and resilient option for access control at both single-entry sites and larger enterprise facilities.

What’s especially nice about the IP400 is that it slots neatly into the U-Prox wireless alarm ecosystem, allowing installers to build out customer applications as they grow.
