V Line Seeks CCTV, Alarms, Help Point Maintenance Across Its Regional Rail Network.

V Line Seeks CCTV, Alarms, Help Point Maintenance – V Line Corporation is seeking preventative maintenance services across a large portfolio of public information assets installed at its regional passenger rail network sites.

The scope includes 6 key asset categories: CCTV systems, security alarms, public address systems with associated hearing loops, customer help points, vertical transportation systems such as lifts, and the electrical testing and tagging of all associated equipment.

The work is intended to maintain service reliability, ensure compliance, and support V/Line’s public-facing operations, which carry more than 24 million passengers annually.

V Line operates regional passenger rail services across 5 commuter corridors and 8 long-distance routes from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne. As a whole, the organisation is responsible for approximately 3440 kilometres of railway track, including 222 stations, rail yards and a fleet of more than 372 passenger trains and coaches.

This preventative maintenance program is intended to support V Line’s obligations to government stakeholders and taxpayers while maintaining a high level of service to customers. The successful contractor will be expected to manage both centralised and distributed asset networks, deliver services across a large geographic footprint, and report consistently on asset status and performance over the life of the contract.
