Verkada Raises $305M Fresh Capital – Verkada has closed its latest round of capital raising with $100 million contributions from Alkeon and Lightspeed, which will be used to drive aggressive global expansion plans, including new products and a bigger team.
“This fresh infusion of capital will further support our ambitious expansion plans as we continue to enhance our current offering and develop new products and features with a growing global team,” chief financial officer Kameron Rezai said.
“Being approached by investors Alkeon and Lightspeed to join our Series D is further validation that our now 20,000 customers love what we’re building,” Rezai said.
“Whether it’s enabling retailers like Canada Goose to reduce operational inefficiencies or schools like Durham College to establish dynamic emergency response plans, Verkada’s integrated platform is more important and needed than ever.”

According to Filip Kaliszan, co-founder and CEO of Verkada, the company was created with digital transition firmly in mind.
“We founded Verkada in 2016 with the vision to modernize the world of physical security — one of the last industries to experience a migration from on-premise solutions to cloud-based software,” said Kaliszan in late 2022.
“We started with security cameras and an intuitive cloud-based platform, and we’ve expanded to include 5 additional product lines that help enterprises protect and manage their people and assets.”
Verkada has 6 product lines, including CCTV cameras, single access control, environmental sensors, alarms, and guest and mailroom management that operate on a cloud-based software platform.
