Conversations over the last few days with many security people in Victoria suggest the industry is doing it tough during this second lockdown, with around 1000 infections reported across the state over the last couple of days, and the death toll continuing to rise.
The economic fall out of Victoria’s Lockdown Mark 2 also continues to build and this is weighing on our colleagues down South – small and larger businesses alike – as they wade into the second week of a lockdown certain to be more arduous than the first.
Security people around Australia are encouraged to reach out to their mates in Victoria and Victorians are urged to reach out for support and encouragement. Anyone who is overloaded in other states try to pass on some remote work.
