JOHNSON Controls reports VideoEdge NVR platform from American Dynamics is the world’s first product to be granted UL 2900-2-3 certification for cybersecurity readiness.
UL 2900-2-3 certification conforms to a new UL (Underwriters Laboratories) programme that evaluates products and manufacturer processes for cybersecurity. VideoEdge attained the highest level of certification, Level 3, in the UL Cybersecurity Assurance Program (UL CAP) program, which was designed to address cybersecurity readiness criteria specifically for the physical security industry.
VideoEdge was developed as part of the Tyco Cyber Protection Product Security Program within Johnson Controls, which combines secure product development, testing and evaluation, and configuration guidelines for compliance and conducts ongoing threat and vulnerability monitoring and assessment to advise customers on how they may reduce their cybersecurity exposure.
