Visitor Tracking And Heat Mapping – Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources has re-released a tender for visitor tracking and heat mapping at Questacon in Canberra.
Questacon is seeking to procure a solution to monitor visitor traffic throughout the public areas of the Questacon Centre, including its galleries, retail outlet, cafe, theatre/s, foyer, ramps and thoroughfares. This will replace the current manual processes requiring staff to count visitors using ticket sales data, hand tally counters and making estimates via physical observation.
The solution will be automated and provide real-time data on the number of visitors in the centre, the number of visitors in each gallery, ability to set customised triggers for capacity alerts and in-line wait times.
This will enable staff to respond to and manage capacity to meet regulatory requirements and enhance visitor experiences. The solution will also provide traffic flow and dwell time reporting to identify; exhibit popularity, potential improvements to exhibit placement and identify where traffic flows could be changed to enhance visitor experiences and manage staff deployment.
This project requires on-site works to install components. General project management and other deliverables that do not require site access may be conducted remotely.
