Vivotek Releases New Chroma24 Low Light AI Camera Without IR Or White Light.

Vivotek Releases New Chroma24 Low Light AI Camera – Vivotek has released Chroma24, a low-light full-colour AI camera series designed to deliver continuous colour surveillance at night without infrared or white-light illumination.

The Chroma24 series combines upgraded lenses, new image sensors and AI-enhanced imaging to produce clear, stable, full-colour images in extremely low-light conditions. By removing the need for supplemental lighting, Chroma24 reduces power consumption and avoids visible illumination that can disturb people, wildlife or site operations.

Chroma24 integrates with Vivotek’s Vortex cloud surveillance platform to support event management, remote patrols and cloud-based video access. Hybrid cloud deployment is supported, allowing sites to balance local recording and cloud services. The system also supports Vortex ‘Think Search’, a generative text-based search tool that allows operators to retrieve nighttime footage of people or vehicles across multiple cameras by entering descriptive text.

Chroma24 is designed to address limitations of traditional night surveillance, where low-light scenes often result in black and white images, motion blur and loss of detail. The company says the cameras deliver colour images with low noise in low-light environments and maintain detail in nighttime footage.

Meanwhile, Vivotek WDR Pro is used to balance bright and dark areas and suppress motion blur and ghosting in dynamic scenes and Deep Search allows footage to be located by colour, person or vehicle attributes, reducing manual review time.

Chroma24 will be released in mid-range dome camera models, but Vivotek said it plans to extend the technology across additional lines to create a broader deployment portfolio.
