WAITEMATA District Health Board has released an RFP for an electronic security integrator to be responsible for security system maintenance, services and upgrades at 29 Waitemata DHB sites across Auckland, NZ.
A request for proposal gives suppliers an opportunity to tender for the supply of services for preventative and corrective maintenance, software maintenance and general maintenance including the ability to source replacement parts or equipment and any installation as required, for Waitemata DHB’s access control and CCTV systems.
In terms of scope, the winning tenderer will undertake these services on electronic security solutions located at 2 main hospital buildings in Auckland; Waitakere Hospital and North Shore Hospital; plus 27 satellite sites. By far the largest site is North Shore Hospital in Takapuna.
North Shore Hospital provides up to 600 surgical and general medical treatment beds (for reference, Sydney Health Board's 4000-staff RPA Hospital has 700 beds). North Shore Hospital has 9 operating theatres (one specialised in obstetric care), an emergency department, a 50-bed assessment and diagnostic Unit, an intensive care centre, an elective surgery centre and a coronary care unit, as well as a maternity and special care baby unit. Emergency Department staff at North Shore see more than 60,000 cases each year.
