Centec Wins Council Tender For CCTV Maintenance.
Centec Wins Council Tender – Security integrator Centec Group has won at $103,000 tender to provide maintenance of Maribyrnong City Council’s CCTV solution – the win means the company retains a contract it won back in 2020.
Melbourne-based Centec Group is an Australian-owned security integrator founded in 2003 with a focus on service and a client list that covers corporate and commercial markets across Melbourne and Australia. The company specialises in high tech video surveillance applications.
City of Maribyrnong is a local government area within the metropolitan area of Melbourne, Australia that incorporates City of Footscray and parts of the City of Sunshine. Council’s approach to safety is underpinned by a strong commitment to crime prevention through environmental design, including the application of CCTV surveillance systems.
The City of Maribyrnong operates 2 separate systems – a public CCTV system comprising 32 cameras managed in partnership with Victoria Police. These cameras provide 24-hour surveillance of large parts of the Footscray Central Activity District.
Meanwhile, council’s asset management system includes a number of cameras used as an asset protection measure, with the presence of cameras helping to prevent damage to property and to deter anti-social behaviour in settings such as libraries and leisure centres.
