According to TP-Link, the DORI numbers for the 2.8mm lens are detection at 85m, observation at 35m, recognition at 17m and identification at 8m. Meanwhile the 4mm lens delivers detection at 107m, observation at 44m, recognition at 21m and identification at 11m.
The camera supports H.265+, H.265, H.264+ and H.264 compression types for main profile and has CBR, VBR bit rate management options. Mainstream bandwidth can be set from 256Kbps to 6Mbps, with sub stream selectable between 64Kbps and 512Kbps.
Image settings include mirror, brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness, exposure, WDR, white balance, a setting to prevent overexposure to infrared light and HLC adjustable by client software, along with adjustable BLC, 3D digital noise reduction, HLC and SmartIR.
The camera has WDR of 120bD, signal-to-noise ratio of 52dB, 4 privacy masks, 1 region of interest and OSD settings. There are 4 IR LEDs with a wavelength of 850nm and a range of 30 metres, and 4 white light LEDs with a range of 30 metres managed by on/off and scheduling.
Other features include 2-way audio at 64 Kbps (G.711 alaw), network protocol options including TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, HTTP, HTTPS, DHCP, DNS, RTSP, NTP, UPnP UDP, SSL/TLS, support for ONVIF Profile S, simultaneous live view 3 main streams and 3 sub-streams.
Management is via the VIGI app, VIGI Security Manager software, Web UI and the VIGI VMS, while network security functions include password protection, HTTPS encryption, IP address filter and digest authentication.
VCA is a strength of this camera. It offers a range of smart event capabilities, including human and vehicle classification, intrusion detection, line-crossing detection, region entering detection, region exiting detection, object abandoned detection, object removal detection, loitering detection and smart frame.
There’s also a suite of basic events, including motion detection, video tampering detection, exception (things like illegal log-in attempts), and scene change detection.
Other features include memory card recording, push notifications, audible warning and white-light flashing. The camera has an RJ45 10/100 Ethernet port with PoE, a reset button, DC power port, 256GB MicroSD card support, and a built-in microphone and speaker.
