Securitas Grows As Security Transformation Expands, Posting 7.5 Per Cent Growth For Q2.
Securitas Grows As Security Transformation Expands – Securitas has reported continued growth during Q2, with the global security provider saying technology remains central to its long-term strategy, despite flat overall organic sales.
The company reported total second quarter sales of SEK 37.8 billion, with operating income before amortisation increasing to SEK 2.82 billion and operating margin improving to 7.5 per cent. Earnings per share rose to SEK 2.88 from SEK 2.56 in the corresponding period last year.
Technology and solutions recorded real sales growth of 5 per cent during the quarter, supported by strong performance in North America. Securitas also reported healthy commercial activity across its global technology business, with continued growth in installation order intake and project backlog.
“We have built a strong and differentiated technology-led offering, and we are intensifying our efforts to commercialize the capabilities we have built,” said president and CEO Magnus Ahlqvist.
According to the company, technology and solutions continue to increase as a proportion of its business across all operating segments, contributing to improved profitability alongside its traditional guarding operations.
Securitas is also continuing to optimise its contract portfolio, having completed management actions relating to underperforming contracts in Europe during the second quarter. The company said portfolio optimisation will remain an ongoing part of normal operations with continued emphasis on contract profitability.
The financial results coincide with the launch of Securitas’ new 2030 strategy, which positions the company as an intelligence-led security provider combining guarding services with technology, analytics and data-driven risk management.
“Our recently announced 2030 strategy positions Securitas as the trusted partner in intelligence-led security, combining global presence and deep security expertise with advanced data, analytics and technology,” Ahlqvist said.
For the first 6 months of 2026, Securitas reported technology and solutions sales growth of 4 per cent, operating income before amortisation of SEK 5.28 billion and an operating margin of 7.1 per cent, with earnings per share increasing 11 per cent year on year.
