AVIGILON is expanding its deep learning artificial intelligence (AI) search engine, Avigilon Appearance Search technology, with two powerful new features that help users save time and effort during critical investigations.

Using deep neural networks for face analytics, Avigilon Face Appearance Search technology enables searching for a person by incorporating the unique characteristics of a face to find similar recorded footage of that person across a site. For operators, this technology increases the speed and accuracy of investigations, by detecting and understanding that it is searching for the same person, even if items such as their clothing change over time.

Avigilon Vehicle Appearance Search technology enables users to quickly search recorded footage and find a specific vehicle across a site. This technology is designed to provide security operators critical information about where and when a vehicle might have been before and after an event.

Both Avigilon Face and Vehicle Search have been designed to be part of Avigilon Appearance Search technology, and will be integrated with Avigilon’s full line of video analytics solutions. Existing customers will be able to upgrade certain legacy products to benefit from these exciting new technologies.♦
